not because You were anywhere remotely near
no, you were very far away when i came to You, so far I had lost sight of You
but You came back for me like You always do and i made a promise to glorify You

My walk with Christ has been a lifelong journey, He has taken me through the peaks and valleys. No matter where I go he is always there beside me. He lights my path and carries me home.
“Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

In 2024 I filled up a pool and called on the name of the Lord to baptize me in my backyard, as I went under and closed my eyes I saw white. When I came up I was greeted with beautiful exotic butterflies and birds. I will never forget the day my Lord and savior set me free.
"So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed."

God is beautifully referred to as "My Song" in Exodus 15:2, Psalm 118:14, and Isaiah 12:2. He is strength and salvation for His people which allows Him to rightfully be called their "song." The Lord put Song of His Love in my heart in 2024, our songs for Him and Him only stem from a place where deep praise and adoration lies for our creator, originating from him alone. In Hebrews 12:2 Jesus reminds us that He is both "the author and finisher of our faith," as well as the generous giver of all gifts that enrich our lives.
